Welcome to SOMEC Bicycles!!

Celebrate and honor SOMEC Cicli. That's the purpose of this blog. If you ride a 1975 somec beater or a new ICS-Lite (like me) post your bike and your experiences here. In the next few days I'll put up fotos of my collection of somecs, so come on and do the same.

  1. I have a 1985 Somec that I would like to restore. Any idea if and where I might get a set of decals?

  2. Have you tried RACE SCENE of Barnsley (England) on 01226 292111. They are the official UK importers of SOMEC frames and are a very friendly, enthusiastic cyclists, who happen to run an Italian bike specialist shop.

  3. Greetings...glad I found this site. I have a 1988 Somec SLX/AIR with some special features including a custom engraved grupo (see photo). Not only an example of Italian craftsmanship at its best, but a great steel ride!
Hope you enjoy the photos, including one of the two "prancing horses" together.

  4. Hi-
I just picked up a vintage (mid-80's) Somec road bike on Ebay and I'm planning to restore it. Is there a list of SOMEC serial numbers anywhere that I can find to date the bike more precisely and get a more accurate idea of the original components set-up? Currently it's mostly Campy super record, but you never know what's been switched out here & there over 25 years or so
    ;-)
